Philippe TALLIS (1960-): Nijinski in "The afternoon of a Fauna"

Exceptional bronze relief with four different kinds of patinas, fixed on brass plaques

Signed on the right foot "Ph. Tallis" and numbered 1/8. Unique piece, the other exemplars have not been realized

Philippe TALLIS (1960-): Born in Africa in Bostwana, he arrived in France at 6 and settled in Paris area. Wonderful sculptor, he realized a huge bust of Samuel Beckett and the Gandhi International Peace Award for the Gandhi Foundation in London. Fascinated by the dance, he worked with Maurice Béjart, Carolyn Carlson, etc. He made also a bust of Nijinski. He is also a wonderful painter figuring african animals like elephants and lions with strenghth and beautiful red colors.
