Maurice MINSART (1894-1976)

Belgian artist born in 1894 in Brussels.
Painter of animated compositions, figures, portraits, landscapes, forests, interiors, still life and flowers. Also watercolorist, designer, painter of tapestries projects, decorator.
He studied in the School of Fine Arts of Ixelles, Brussels and Saint-Josse-ten-Noode.
In 1925 he won an award at Paris International Exhibition of Decorative Arts.
He was the director of the free Academy of painting "La Figure" in Brussels.
He painted compositions with figures in a decorative intention, still-life paintings with very stylized fruits, landscapes more often forest or winter landscapes.
Some of his works are in the museum Felix De Boeck in Drogenbos and in private collections.
